SUMMARY:Bible Study:  The Work of Holy Spirit in My Life - Part Four
DESCRIPTION:In the days leading up to His crucifixion\, Jesus told His disciples that He would be leaving them but would not leave them alone.  He then said that He would ask the Father to send another\, just like Him\, to take His place. \nIf you want to see what the Holy Spirit does for us\, look at what Jesus did for the disciples.  He cared for every area of their life as He instructed\, guided\, provided for and served as an example of how to walk displaying the nature of the Father. \n\nHoly Spirit will perform those same tasks for us as He reveals and glorifies Jesus. \n\nIn this study\, we will examine the assignment of the Holy Spirit in our lives and see the works or manifestations of God that He brings to us.

SUMMARY:Praying God's Will for My Life - Part Four
DESCRIPTION:Many believers spend most of their prayer time asking God for more:  more faith\, more love\, more peace\, etc.   They do this while thinking that the answers to their problems would come if God would just give them more ________ (you can fill in the blank).  Life becomes an unending pursuit of trying to convince God to give them more\, while frustration and condemnation build. \nYet in many of the epistles\, written to believers\, Paul is not continually asking God to give them more.  Instead\, he asks God to allow them to see what they already have\, currently possess\, in their union with Jesus Christ.  This is exactly the opposite of what many are requesting.  When we see what God has already provided to us and who we have become in Christ\, this revelation will position us for breakthrough after breakthrough. \nThis is why Paul wrote the church as Colossae “and in Him\, you have been made complete.”  \nThe Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write a number of prayers that we can pray over ourselves and other believers.  Praying God’s Word over ourselves will enable us to see ourselves as He sees us and allow us to speak His Word with faith and boldness.

DESCRIPTION:In the 22nd chapter of Luke\, Jesus described the cup of the covenant meal as “the cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.”  In this session\, just prior to Resurrection Sunday\, we will examine the role of blood in many aspects to include covenant\, in Israel’s atonement ritual and the blood which flowed from our Redeemer\, Jesus. \nWe will see that in every place that blood flowed from Jesus’ body\, there is a work of redemption where He took the curse and we\, in exchange\, are to walk in the blessing.

We are also taught that as believers in Jesus we have been given authority to act on His behalf in this world today. \nYet because the concept of “covenant” is not fully appreciated by many Christians\, they are not able to perceive the immense value and personal benefit of walking in this covenant relationship with the Lord. And in so doing\, they have little to no appreciation of the authority that is ascribed to us as believers\, on behalf of Jesus. \nThis study will combine a study of covenant and authority to enable us to walk by faith in an increased revelation of both our covenant rights and privileges including the authority of the believer. \nThe book of Ephesians tells us to remember the time when we were separated from Christ and strangers to the covenants of promise. It is now time for us to fully recognize the fulness of what our covenant provides and take our rightful roll in His kingdom\, executing our authority on His behalf. He shed blood for our New Covenant\, and it is time for us to rule and reign in Him in the earth today.
